FORMER COUNCILOR, AZUGWU/AZUMILI WARD 6, HON SUNDAY NWEZE DUMPS LABOUR PARTY AND DEFECTED TO APC.
Foremost former ward Councillor of Azugwu/ Azumili, Hon Sunday Nweze on 11th July 2024 dumped the defunct labour party and defected to All progressive Congress APC.
Hon Sunday Nweze while speaking during the ward campaign rally said he was dumping labor party because of the government of the day in Ebonyi state under the leadership of his has been satisfactory and has attended to the needs of the people.
The former legislator said he decided to join APC due to the achievements and leadership prowess of the state Governor, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru FNIOB GGCEHF which is centered on the people's charter of needs, and the leadership ingenuity of the Executive Chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, Hon Stephen Ebere Nwogba (JP).
The former legislator defected alongside his loyalist numbering hundreds who were his hardcore supporters. He pledged his loyalty to the administration of His Excellency the Governor and the people's chairman, high chief ikeoha, wherefore declared his ward and extension Apc family.
The former legislator was formally welcomed to Apc fold and handed a symbol of the party alongside his supporters by Apc chairman Abakaliki Local Government, high chief Paulinus attam(JP).
